Our Story

WearFula is founded in 2017 during travels through

Africa. The aim is to maintain African culture by combining handcrafted traditional fabrics, pattern and codes with a contemporary twist. 

These African fabrics represent an alternative to the colonial waxprint. WearFula fabrics are part of a long-standing tradition based around myths of the Fulani people, therefore wearing it requires more than love for fashion – it requires attitude.

Every client takes part in the creating process by choosing their style, material and design according to their fitted size. The unique pieces are created in a sustainable manner through tailored fashion and original material out of 100% organic cotton.

WearFula engages with young African tailors only as we aim to create a platform that enables Africans to show off their skills and roots. 
Our goal is to bridge the gap between culture, identity, politics and even architecture.
